How To Calculate Wall Plaster



One of the most common question and inquiry in me was regarding the plastering of walls.
Here i am going to discuss how to calculate wall plaster cement and sand needed for plastering works.
This are useful for computing wall plastering work. These can provide instant solutions to your calculation and conversion requirements.
Get the ability to work out the quantity of cement and sand necessary for plastering a specified wall area. As soon as the quantities are identified, it becomes simpler to calculate the cost with the rates which exist in your area. 
Use the formula as shown below, to get the estimation for the cement and Sand requirements for your plastering needs.
Wall plastering calculation - The calculations is performed on the basis of the following assumptions:-
i) The mortar mix is 1:6 (cement:sand)
ii) The density of plaster for inside wall is considered as 12mm and that of outer side is 15mm
iii) Wastage of 15%



TIPS FOR PLASTERING WORK:

1. Plastering should be done after curing on the brick masonry.
2. Cement and fine aggregate mix ratio should be 1:6 (1 Cement: 
6 fine aggregate) for internal plastering of bricks and 1:4 for 
external plastering.
3. Never do a plastering beyond 12 or 15mm thickness on a brick
wall.
4. Avoid plastering beyond 6 mm thickness on concrete in one go.
5. Hacking should be done before plastering work on ceilings and
columns.
6. Cement and fine aggregate mix ratio should be 1:3 for concrete
surfaces
